Programme description
Trinity Project focuses on demand creation for the uptake of HIV, NCD and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, targeting youth and adults between the ages of 10 and 49. Using the Sister-to-Sister approach, adolescent girls and young women (AGYW, 15–24) and young men are put into age-specific groups and empowered with information and skills on SRH, gender-based violence, HIV and livelihoods.
The organisation is currently working with 16 community-based organisations and churches in Bulawayo's Mzilikazi District and Bubi District, targeting AGYW and young men and boys aged 10–24.
Health information on HIV and NCDs is distributed to adults through community dialogues and community meetings. The organisation also engages in HIV-preventative strategies while promoting healthy behaviours among target communities, and runs campaigns against drug, alcohol and substance abuse among youth.
Trinity Project has also taken on Covid-19 prevention and mitigation — raising awareness, producing facemasks and distributing sanitisers.
